Hypoallergenic Dogs

Are you a dog-person without actually having a dog because they don’t quite agree with your allergies? Well, there is some great news in store for you. Hypoallergenic dogs. Yes, that’s right! Dogs that finally agree with your body. It’s a known fact that there are lots of people that like to have their house clean and keep it free from allergies and bacteria. That’s another situation in which having a hypo-allergenic dog can come into play. There’s none or very, very little shedding so there’s not much mess to worry about. Hypoallergenic dogs are seemingly becoming more popular than ever before and due to their convenience, people do not seem to mind paying a little extra money to obtain them. Hypoallergenic dogs are not only good to prevent allergies, but they are also safe to have around if there is a baby, baby-on-the-way or children in your home for these types of dogs are known to carry less germs and won’t cause any unknown allergies. I have a baby, well I call him my baby, but he is really 4 years old and he is allergic to practically everything. One thing that he’s been wanting forever is a dog. However, I have had to consider the consequences of having a dog at our home. Of course, this doesn’t just have to deal with his allergies, but the cost that goes into taking a dog to be groomed, veterinary bills and the time that you have to put in to welcoming a new furbaby into your home.  All of this can be made simpler by investing in a dog that won’t take so much maintenance to care for. There are actually quite a few different breeds that are hypo-allergenic and I have decided to list some of them for you:
  • Yorkshire Terrier
  • Poodle
  • Xoloitzcuintle
  • Brussels Griffon
  • West Highland White Terrier
  • Basenji
  • Lakeland Terrier
  • Barbet
  • Afghan Hound
  • Bouvier des Flanders
  • Colton De Tulear
  • Irish Terrier
  • Giant Schnauzer
  • Miniature Bull Terrier
  • Welsh Terrier
  • Miniature Schnauzer
  • Wire Fox Terrier
  • Soft-coated Wheaten Terrier
  • Polish Lowland Sheepdog
  • Shih Tzu
There are so many more that fit the hypoallergenic criteria so if this is the kind of dog you need, there is one out there just for you!
