Jalapenaa!! Ariba! We decided to do another appetizer this week with a little Mexican cuisine on the menu. What’s a Jalapeno popper? They are jalapenos cut in half and stuffed with deliciousness and mouthwatering ingredients. We had 18 peppers and it was plenty for a whole pack of chorizo and one package of cream cheese.
Cut peppers in half, lengthwis,e and remove the seeds and ribs.
Remove the casings around the chorizo and brown and cook it in a skillet so that it will have the consistency of ground meat.
Drain and add chorizo to a mixing bowl. Then add cream cheese.
Mix everything together REALLY GOOD. (We used gloves the ENTIRE time we handled the peppers, because if you don’t then your hands will burn and so will everything else you touch!)
Scoop mixture in pepper halves
Place halves on a cookie sheet covered in tin foil at 350° 30-40 minutes.
- 18 jalapeno peppers (or any amount of desired peppers)
- 1 package of chorizo
- 1 package of cream cheese
