Treats to Try This Season

I am new at this whole blogging thing, so just please bear with me. One thing I am not new at though is being a mommy. As a mommy, I try to make everything I cook edible and fun for my little girl. Since it’s October and so close to Halloween, I figured we could do some fun spooky treats.

Here are a few fun treats I’ve found that I think would be enjoyable for everyone:

The first one is one that I actually do a lot, just never made it to be this creative.

Mummy Dogs

Ingredients:

Dough

(I get Pillsbury crescent rolls)

Hotdog Wienies

Directions:

1. Flatten the crescent rolls out

2. Cut crescent rolls into thin strips

3. Cut two thin slices into each hotdog wienie to form arms and legs

4. Wrap hotdog wienie “bodies” into dough to mummify your meal

5. Put in oven on 375 for 8-10 mins

Are they not the cutest little mummies ever?

The second treat you can try is somewhat healthy-ish for you!

Banana Ghosts and Clementine Pumpkins

Ingredients:

Bananas

Chocolate chips

Clementine’s

Celery

    Directions:

1. Peel bananas and cut them in half through the center.

2. Insert mini chocolate chips in each banana for eyes and one big chocolate chip for the mouth

3. Peel clementine’s and remove white membrane centers, keeping fruit intact.

4. Thinly slice celery into thin sticks.

5. Insert celery sticks into clementine centers for “stems”.

I don’t know about y’all, but I think those ghosts and pumpkins are just darling for the entire family.

Okay, so we have got a fun treat and a healthy treat.

Surely, I cannot going leave out a sweet treat. What is a treat if it isn’t sweet?

The last treat to try will surely be a sweet-tooth’s favorite.

Strawberry Ghost

Ingredients:

Strawberries

White chocolate chips

Mini chocolate chips

Directions:

1. Melt white chocolate chips in a bowl

2. Layout wax paper

3. Dip strawberries in melted chocolate and lay onto wax paper and allow excess chocolate to hang at end like a ghost tail

4. Before it hardens completely place two chocolate chips as eyes on your ghost.

5. Guaranteed to be the best treat you eat.

Okay, so now you have three new treats to try this season. They are also very fast and easy treats to make. Knowing me, I will make them all in one night just because trying new little recipes like this is fun. Especially if it doesn’t take many ingredients and not too much time! Plus, it will keep my baby girl entertained. Halloween is right around the corner so try some of these maybe to take to a party or just to cook at home! I hope you enjoy! :)
