Construction
The 3M™ Filtrete Elite Allergen Filter is designed to provide high quality air filtration that is superior to that of other competitors. The construction of the filter is specially designed to provide optimum filtration performance.
The 3M™ Filtrete Elite Allergen Filter is constructed with mini pleats that optimize dust holding capacity and maximize airflow. The pleated media is laminated to a wire backing on both sides, which keeps the filter sturdy against warping and bending. The pleated media is then bonded to the inside of a sturdy die cut frame that keeps the filter sturdy and resistant to air pressure.

Maintenance
The 3M™ Filtrete Elite Allergen Filter provides excellent filtration, but it must be replaced regularly. Electrostatic filters begin to lose their efficiency as they trap more pollutants, so it is important to keep them regularly replaced. The 3M™ Filtrete Elite Allergen Filter lasts about 3 months before it must be replaced. Replacement can vary, however, depending on several factors, including rate of airflow, types of particulates, and air quality.
