Rheem® Furnace Filters by Accumulair®

Rheem®’s deep pleated media filter serves to protect your home from harmful airborne particles that are present in your living environment. The enhanced performance of pleated filters not only protects your HVAC unit, but also improves indoor air quality and offers better protection against dust and other airborne particles than regular fiberglass filters. In fact, the pleated material is so efficient that it collects particles as small as 0.3 of a micron! A few of these particles are:

Dust

Pollen

Dust mites

Cockroach allergens

Molds

Animal Dander

The deep pleated construction of these filters allows for a larger surface area which enables the filter to last up to one year. Generally, the deeper the pleat, the greater the dust holding capacity and the longer a filter can remain in the air handler without needing to be changed.

Rheem®’s media filters can be purchased with MERV ratings of 8, 11 and 13. MERV stands for minimum efficiency reporting value. A high MERV rating means the filter will trap more dust and allergy causing contaminants. These highly efficient filters reduce the concentration of indoor air contaminants and can slow down the settling of dust and other airborne particles within the house. Additionally, these filters can significantly eliminate the chance of fire hazards by removing dust and lint which might collect in the duct work.

These highly efficient filters may also be purchased with a carbon odor block feature. The carbon impregnated disposable pleated panel filter is a simple solution for controlling both odors and dust particles. The odorous gases and vapors that develop in your home are attracted to and held by the unique properties of the activated carbon material. The carbon odor block filter captures the small odor gases that infect your environment such as:
