Pre Filters
The Totaline® Pre Filters are specially designed carbon pre filters that attach to the HVAC system and filter pollutants as they pass through the system. There are tons of pollutants passing through the system, and the main filter can become clogged very easily. That's where pre filters come in; pre filters are designed to remove particulates before they enter the main filter, thereby increasing the filter's efficiency and prolonging its filter life.
Carbon Filtration
Indoor air pollution causes unpleasant, and sometimes harmful, pollutants to accumulate inside. Ridding of these pollutants not only helps the HVAC system but also creates a cleaner, fresher environment. These Payne Pre Filters use activated carbon to remove odors and large airborne particles that easily clog a filter. This includes particles like dust, mold spores, pet dander, and pollen.
