The Dirt Devil Brand
The Dirt Devil brand actually got its roots in 1905 when the P.A. Geier Company began selling the first Royal vacuum cleaners. For years, the company produced vacuums, hair dryers, mixers, and washing machines, and they produced the first hand-held vacuum, the “Royal Prince,” in 1937. With the onset of World War II, the company converted its production to war materials, but after the war they reverted back to vacuums, which they sold until 1953. The company then became under new ownership and was renamed Royal Appliance Manufacturing but was bought out again by the next year by a group of employees headed by Stan Erbor. With this new change in ownership, the company began to thrive and expand.
In 1981, with the death of Erbor, the company was purchased by a small group of investors, and the company boomed. They expanded distribution to large retail stores like Wal-Mart and Kmart, and sales soared. Then in 1984 they introduced their signature product, the Dirt Devil Hand Vac. This Dirt Devil product, which has sold over 23 million, launched a new beginning for the company in the vacuum industry. Today, the brand, as a part of TTI Floor Care North America, sells all types of floor care products, including:
- upright vacuums
- stick vacuums
- hand vacs
- canister vacuums
- steam cleaners
Dirt devil vacuums come in all shapes, sizes and functions. Whether it is for cleaning a quick mess from the couch, for scrubbing a hardwood floor, or for keeping a cleaner house, Dirt Devil provides the products for your vacuuming needs. Dirt Devil even offers outdoor vacuum products for outdoor applications such as decks, patios, garages, etc. No matter what the vacuum cleaning need is, Dirt Devil has a product to match it!
Dirt Devil Filter Products
Dirt Devil is a brand that exhibits a care for floor care. Dirt Devil products go beyond just vacuuming, however. By using high quality filtration products, they ensure that their vacuum products promote healthy living. This takes vacuuming to an extra level of clean. Vacuum filters do more than just clean the floor. Vacuum filters trap microscopic particles picked up by the vacuum and keep them from being spewed back into the air. This provides a cleaner vacuuming experience, better air quality, and a healthier breathing environment.
Dirt Devil HEPA filters provide an excellent example of how vacuum filters can improve any vacuuming experience. HEPA filters are made of special filtration media that is tested to capture 99.97% of microscopic particulates as small as 0.3 microns. HEPA filters are highly efficient for removing particulates like dust mites debris, pollen grains, mold spores, pet dander, etc. These particulates are microscopic air pollutants that embed in carpets and in furniture; they are easily spread around and spewed into the air, and when airborne, they can trigger breathing problems like allergies and asthma.
So Dirt Devil goes beyond just attacking the dirt and grime that lives in your carpet. With highly efficient vacuum filters, Dirt Devil makes vacuuming more than just a household chore; it becomes a way of ridding of indoor air pollution, making the home a cleaner, healthier environment. Dirt Devil vacuum filter products take vacuuming to a higher level, one that creates a healthier, more comfortable home that is free of the tiny contaminants that cannot be seen, as well as the messes and spills of everyday life. This is what makes Dirt Devil a brand worthy of its long-standing good name.
