What Is MERV?

MERV means Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value which was developed by the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioner Engineers, ASHRAE. The higher the MERV rating the more efficient the filter will be at capturing airborne particles. Please check with your HVAC specialist as to what MERV rating is best for your system.
