Description

20x25x5 Amana® Furnace Filters by Accumulair®

The 20x25x5 (20 x 24 3/4 x 4 3/8) Amana® Furnace filters are offered in two different sizes. This is due to the fact that the Actual size of these filters are slightly different. Most filters have two sizes, and Actual size, and a nominal size. The nominal size is what you would normally search for and see on the side of your filter (20x25x5), but the Actual size is actual measured size of your filter. It just so happens that the 20x25x5 Amana® filter can be purchased in two actual sizes. Please make sure to measure the inside of your air return to determine which actual size you need to purchase.

Have a seat and let us explain why this filter is the best filter for you. The 20x25x5 Amana® Furnace Filter is composed of highly efficient and reliable filtration media. This media collects dust, pollen, pet dander, hair, lint and many more particles. The 20x25x5 Amana® Furnace Filter keeps these harmful pollutants from invading your living environment and becoming dangerous to you and your family. Those are our reasons as to why this is the best filter for you - but don't trust us! Try it for yourself!

Specifications

What is MERV? MERV means Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value which was developed by the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioner Engineers, ASHRAE. The higher the MERV rating the more efficient the filter will be at capturing airborne particles. Please check with your HVAC specialist as to what MERV rating is best for your system.

What is the MERV rating of Carbon filters? The main use of the Carbon filter is to remove odors from the air. The filters are made with a carbon impregnated media and are not electrostatically charged. The Carbon filter does not have a MERV rating. If you want to remove odors such as cigarette smoke or cooking fumes then the Carbon filter is perfect for you. If you are wanting the best filtration possible then choose a MERV rated filter, remember the higher the MERV, the best the filtration!
