Whole House Filtration

Many people suffer today from poor indoor air quality. Electrostatic or Carbon

Electrostatic Filtration - Electrostatic filtration works by using an electrostatically charged filter media to attract the oppositely charged particles. This works more efficiently than regular HVAC filters.

MERV Rating - These filters are rated by MERV. MERV is the minimum efficiency reporting value, which is the scale designed by the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) to rate the effectiveness of air filters. The higher MERV rating indicates higher filtering performance. The Aprilaire® Media Filters are available as MERV 8, MERV 11, or MERV 13. The MERV 8 and the MERV 11 are excellent for residential use and capture the pollutants mentioned above, but the MERV 13 goes a step further by capturing viruses.

Carbon Filtration - Most regular HVAC filters are unable to remove odors. Odors are tiny gas particles that are too tiny to be trapped by most regular particulate filters. However, the Aprilaire® Media Filters are available in the Carbon Odor Block, which uses activated carbon (charcoal treated with oxygen) to trap odors, smoke, and gaseous vapors in its many tiny pores.
